The digital cancer care platform has partnered with the oncology service provider to help patients self-manage their cancer treatment at home.

Digital cancer care platform Careology has partnered with oncology service provider Entia to help patients safely self-manage more of their treatment from home.

This collaboration will integrate Entia’s at-home blood monitoring solution with Careology’s platform. This will allow patients to perform their own blood tests at home for their clinicians to monitor how they are responding to treatment remotely.

“By providing patients with self-service tools, they are able to feel less restricted by treatment and enable their cancer teams to monitor their progress remotely, enabling more oversight and early intervention,” said Paul Landau, founder and chief executive of Careology.

Designed with oncology experts

Careology’s digital platform supports patients and cancer care teams across Britain and the US. It enables patients to self-manage and better understand aspects of their treatment including managing side effects, symptoms and medication schedules, as well as providing access to personalised, holistic supportive care.

Entia’s service includes the world’s first UK-approved at-home full blood count analyser and is designed specifically for cancer patients. It was developed with global oncology experts from The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.

“This collaboration marks a significant step forward in patient empowerment, allowing individuals to manage their health with greater ease and autonomy,” said Toby Basey-Fisher, founder and chief executive of Entia
