The digital healthcare provider is partnering with Huma’s myGP app to improve access to GP appointments.

Digital healthcare provider Doctor Care Anywhere has partnered with global healthcare AI company Huma to address what it calls “the growing unsatisfied demand” to access GP appointments.

The collaboration will enable myGP patients, who are unable to book an NHS GP appointment, to book a video consultation 24/7 with a private clinician from Doctor Care Anywhere.

Huma’s myGP app is the UK’s largest independent NHS GP booking and healthcare management platform and Huma’s software is used by more than 80 NHS Trusts and across two-thirds of primary care practices.

The service is expected to go live in the summer and Doctor Care Anywhere has said that enhancements are planned for the future.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in patient choice, by giving patients the option to have private appointments, we are stepping forward with myGP to bridge gaps in availability,” said Laura ORiordan, chief executive of Doctor Care Anywhere.
