AI clinical documentation platform T-Pro has acquired BigHand Healthcare, now working with 120 NHS Trusts.

Global AI-powered clinical documentation platform T-Pro acquired BigHand Healthcare earlier in July. It is now working with 120 NHS Trusts nationwide.

Financial terms have not been disclosed.

The acquisition focuses on T-Pro’s Ambient Voice Technology and workflow optimisation systems, in an effort to improve doctors’ time management and productivity.

BigHand Healthcare will bring its team into T-Pro, morphing into a workforce of almost 200. Staff will focus on transforming clinical documentation, scaling AI, improving productivity and reducing administrative burdens on frontline teams.

BigHand Healthcare has 15 years of experience spanning the NHS and private healthcare. Its current clients will join T-Pro.

“The NHS, for example, is increasingly focused on how AI can be deployed safely and effectively within real clinical environments. We believe the successful adoption of AI in healthcare depends on deep workflow integration, operational reliability, governance and proven deployment capability across complex healthcare organisations,” said T-Pro chief executive Jonathan Larbey.

Healthcare providers, public and private, are increasingly leaning towards AI.
