The acquisition by the Swedish firm both strengthens its position and allows it to expand within ultrasound imaging and reporting software into the UK market.

Sweden’s provider of medical products and solutions Asker Healthcare Group has acquired British healthcare software firm Health Net Connections (HNC). It has taken 100% of the shares in the company.

Financial terms have not been disclosed.

HNC specialises in the distribution, implementation and maintenance of ultrasound imaging and reporting software to hospitals and private clinics that support clinical workflows.

Based in Woking, the company has 21 employees and posted revenues of around £4.75 million last year.

With a presence in 17 countries and a portfolio of more than 45 companies, the acquisition by Asker lets HNC leverage Asker’s extensive resources and expertise to, as it says, “further its mission of delivering innovative healthcare solutions”.

The team has a proven track record of successful software implementations that help healthcare professionals safely manage patient data, enhance workflow, and save time. With this bolt-on acquisition… we further strengthen our position in the region and expand our existing offering within ultrasound imaging and reporting software also to the UK market,” said Asker’s chief executive, Johan Falk.
