The London-headquartered company’s software for consultations, billing and reporting will become part of Cority’s Health Cloud.
Canadian enterprise software firm Cority has acquired London-based practice management software company Meddbase.
Financial terms have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2004, Meddbase was the first cloud-native clinical software solution designed for healthcare providers in the UK. The company has since expanded its offerings to include occupational health, electronic health records, and private healthcare management solutions, with clients across North America, Europe, and Australia.
As well as its headquarters in London, Meddbase has a second UK location in Southampton and maintains additional staff bases in Washington DC, Calgary, Dublin, and Karachi. Its data centres are located in London, Quebec, New York and Dublin,
Meddbase’s platform brings together clinical management, scheduling, billing and administrative tools which are regarded as flexible, safe and scalable.
“Meddbase has a track record of delivering exceptional value to healthcare providers through its secure and adaptable clinical solutions,” said Cority chief executive Ryan Magee. “This acquisition aligns with Cority’s mission to empower organisations to care for their people, reduce risks, and improve operational performance,” he continued.
As part of the acquisition, Meddbase’s software will become part of Cority’s Health Cloud, a suite of healthcare management solutions including offerings for occupational health and industrial hygiene.
All of Cority’s solutions – both built and acquired – are eventually integrated and connected through CorityOne, the company’s expanding environmental health and safety and sustainability ecosystem.
