Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust implements new EPR system
The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust has implemented System C’s CareFlow Electronic Patient Record (EPR). Delivered through the trust’s Blueprint project, the phased initiative will unify several legacy systems into a single, trust-wide platform across New Cross Hospital, Cannock Chase Hospital and West Park Hospital.
CareFlow EPR is an AI, cloud-native and mobile-enabled EPR that provides clinicians with real-time access to comprehensive patient records, enhances safety and enables more effective, joined-up care.
“The launch of our new EPR is a significant milestone in our digital journey. By harnessing the latest technology, we’re creating a more connected, efficient, and responsive service for patients across our hospitals and community services,” said Gwen Nuttall, the Trust’s managing director
CareFlow EPR is already live at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, supporting the Black Country Integrated Care System.
NHS Confederation partners with Primary Eyecare Services and Q Community
NHS Confederation has partnered with Primary Eyecare Services and Q Community to move hospital ophthalmology services into the community.
The new improvement programme will support local teams working across a neighbourhood, acute and integrated care systems footprint to understand, plan and create the infrastructure and processes to move ophthalmology care closer to a home setting by July next year.
Each team will focus on a chosen sub-speciality of ophthalmology to create and design a local transition plan for providing ophthalmology services closer to home, with some teams also expected to move onto the implementation stage.
The programme will run for eight months from November to July next year, with up to six teams selected across England. Participating teams will take part in six structured virtual learning sessions and receive tailored coaching and expert input to help create their local transition plans.
“There are huge opportunities in moving care out of hospitals into the community, but it is only through examining the whole system involved in providing that care that we can move from ideas to successful practice,” said Jen Morgan, who leads Q’s system-wide change work.

Agilio launches software to simplify compliance and strengthen pharmacy teams
Software developer Agilio Software has brought together two platforms to save time and reduce administration for pharmacy teams.
iComply is a compliance platform designed specifically for pharmacies, and iTeam is a pharmacy-specific HR platform that streamlines team management.
Agilio says that the platforms reflect NHS priorities for digital transformation, workforce wellbeing and patient safety, helping pharmacies work smarter today and prepare for the future.
“With iComply and iTeam, Agilio is giving pharmacy teams the digital tools to simplify operations, improve team engagement and ultimately free up time to focus on what matters most: patient care,” said Paul Lowndes, a member of the Agilio leadership team.
North London NHS Foundation Trust partners with Psyomics
North London NHS Foundation Trust has partnered with Psyomics to roll out the health company’s digital mental health care across Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington.
Developed with clinical psychologists, psychiatrists and researchers at the University of Cambridge, the Psyomics Platform is a digital front door for adults seeking support.
The system captures patient-reported information – from symptoms to social and personal circumstances – to give clinicians insights to inform the most appropriate care pathway. With 25% of submissions completed outside normal office hours, it improves accessibility and ensures support is available when people need it most, while enabling faster, more accurate decision-making from the outset.
“Our mission is to make mental health services more accessible, efficient and patient-centred,” said Psyomics chief executive Melinda Rees.
The initiative is part of the Trust’s wider transformation programme, with plans to extend the platform beyond adult services to include talking therapies, neurodiversity, and older adults in the near future.
