The companies have come together to help both the NHS and private providers capitalise on new NHS funding with the right technology and methodology.

Irish healthcare communications platform Wellola and the consultancy Org have signed a strategic partnership to develop digital healthcare software tailored for the NHS and private healthcare providers.

With NHS funding of approximately £20 million for Community and Mental Health Trusts to commission Patient Engagement Portals (PEPs) expected to be deployed at the start of the 2025/2026 NHS financial year, the collaboration aims to help both the NHS and private providers capitalise on new NHS funding and ensure that they have the right technology and methodology.

“With NHS funding for digital patient engagement solutions imminent, now is the time for Trusts to invest in technology that improves efficiency and enhances patient experience,” said Sonia Neary, chief executive of Wellola.

Wellola’s technology is already in use at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, Birmingham Community NHS Trust and Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
