The diagnostic imaging provider has said that the acquisition of Ramsay Health Care UK is intended to launch a long-term national diagnostics partnership.
Diagnostic imaging provider Medneo has announced it is to take over Ramsay Health Care UK. Financial terms have not been disclosed.
Medneo’s acquisition of Ramsay Health Care UK will focus on mobile MRI and CT testing, through a six-year exclusive contract to provide mobile imaging services across Ramsay’s national hospital network. The multi-million-pound agreement will also welcome Ramsay’s experienced diagnostic imaging team into its business.
At a time of surging demand for diagnostic services across both NHS and independent healthcare, the partnership will add new hospital locations across the UK and strengthen its ability to support healthcare providers with high-quality imaging services at scale. It also vows to boost how Ramsay Health Care UK delivers diagnostic services for patients across its 34 hospitals, in specialisms including women’s health, orthopaedics and general surgery.
“By combining our strengths, we can continue to invest in innovation, expand access to high-quality diagnostic services and support better outcomes for patients across the UK,” commented Ella Tracey, chief executive of Medneo.
Medneo, which has a flagship clinic in London and is rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, employs more than 120 radiographers at a time of their short supply across the NHS.
Medneo also acquired imaging supplier Fairford Medical in October last year.
